As the region’s leading collectors of fallen stock since 1946, farmers are at the heart of our business.
We have the skills, experience and expertise to offer a broad range of agricultural waste collection and disposal solutions to more than 8,000 customers across the North East region.
This experience means we have an instinctive understanding of the requirements of our farming customers.
We have also introduced an online account management service that helps our farming customers manage their livestock, view invoices and update their account details.
We have unrivalled expertise in treating a broad range of agricultural waste and organic materials. Our ability to efficiently process both fallen stock and other organic waste products make us the number one choice for farmers. Most importantly we are diverting your waste from traditional methods of disposal that are harmful to the environment to create valuable resources including enough clean green energy to power 19,000 a homes for an entire year.
Animal by-products are defined as entire bodies or parts of animals, products of animal origin or other products obtained from animals, which are not intended for human consumption.
The animal by-products that we collect from farms, butchers, abattoirs and meat manufacturing facilities by law, must be kept out of the food chain.
At rendering facilities, valuable resources, including tallow, which is a form of fat, as well as meat and bone meal are produced. Depending upon the source of these materials their end use can range from pet foods and biofuels, to fertilisers, and soap and organic chemicals.
Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is a natural biological process that uses micro-organisms to break down organic matter to produce valuable renewable resources such as biofertiliser and power.
At Warrens Emerald Biogas, we currently process up to 115,000 tonnes of food waste and organic based material to produce gas and electricity which is supplied directly to the national grid and a PAS110 approved bio-fertiliser.
We are conscious that the environmental benefit of supplying our biofertiliser to farmers can be eroded by transportation. So we have committed to supplying our product exclusively to the local farming community close to our facility.
